A third wave of corona is expected in the next 6 to 8 weeks, according to AIIMS chiefs

New Delhi: Lockdown rules are being relaxed as the second wave of corona sweeps across the country. The lockdown has been completely removed by several states. Meanwhile, the director of AIIMS, the largest medical institution in the country, Dr. Randeep Guleria said that the third wave of corona is likely to hit the country again in the next 6 to 8 weeks and it is impossible to stop this wave.
Dr. Randeep Guleria, while expressing fears of a third wave, said that the main challenge in the country is to protect more and more people from corona by vaccinating a large population of the country. It is also a good idea to increase the distance between the two doses of the covshield vaccine, as this can save as many people as possible.
Next Dr. Randeep Guleria said that the lockdown has been completely lifted in many states of the country. The situation has been reversed. But people are seen violating Corona rules in many places. Crowding in public places, not wearing masks, not adhering to social distance. The way people are behaving irresponsibly shows that people have not learned anything from the first and second waves.
Once unlocked, the crowd grows again and people don’t follow the rules. But it will take some time for the number of coronaviruses to increase nationally. The next third wave could come in the next six to eight weeks, or it could take a little longer, he said. Randeep told Guleria.
The AIIMS chief further said that it usually takes three months for new waves to arrive. But it is not necessary for a new wave to take only three months, as it can happen in a very short time depending on different factors. You need to strictly monitor the situation without corona protocol. Because in the previous wave we saw a new type of corona virus that came to our country from abroad and developed here. So care must be taken.
