Against Crystal Nursing Home Man charged with manslaughter
Nagpur, Dec 14: A dispute arose over a bill at Crystal Nursing Home in Pachpavli. So the patient removed the bypunk machine. The patient then fainted. Relatives complained in this regard. A case of homicide was registered on that basis.
On April 21, Pranit Kadekar of New Subhedar Layout admitted his father Dilip Kadekar to Crystal Nursing Home at Pachpavli for treatment of corona. On admission, Pranit deposited a deposit of Rs 2 lakh as per the instructions of the hospital management. After this, money was being demanded from the hospital management from time to time for further treatment. The bill was paid by the hospital management after a petition was filed for the bill. However, it showed an increase in charges for blood tests, drugs, injections. The controversy escalated. Management's zeal continued. The patient's bypack machine was removed. No proper information was given about the condition of the patient and later the patient was declared dead. Pranit Kadekar lodged a complaint at Pachpavli police station.
Police filed a case of culpable homicide against the hospital management.
Sanjay Chaudhary, Kishore Palandurkar, Corporation Transport Committee Chairman Jitendra (Bunty) Kukde, Councilor Virendra Kukreja etc. were present at the time of complaint.
