BJP's statewide agitation against Maha Vikas Aghadi government tomorrow

Mumbai: BJP state vice-president MLA Sanjay Kute and BJP OBC Morcha state president Yogesh Tillekar have said that a statewide agitation will be launched tomorrow (September 15) against the BJP-led alliance government for betraying the OBC community. He also demanded that Chief Minister Thackeray and Sharad Pawar respond to Congress state president Nana Patole's allegation that the alliance government did not provide a lawyer to defend the OBC reservation in the Supreme Court. Kute and Tillekar were speaking at a press conference held at the BJP state office. State Chief Spokesperson Keshav Upadhyay was also present on the occasion.

Sanjay Kute and Yogesh Tillekar said that for the last six months, the alliance government has been squabbling over the political reservation of the OBC community. The BJP leadership has consistently asked the state government to take immediate action to collect the imperial data of the OBC community. But in the last six months, the coalition government has made no move. The coalition government did not even fund the Backward Classes Commission appointed to collect imperial data. This neglect has resulted in the announcement of elections for five local bodies without OBC reservation.
At the same time, the state government has not effectively taken up the issue of OBC reservation in the Supreme Court as next year's municipal, municipal and Zilla Parishad elections are to be held without giving reservation to the OBC community. The state president of the ruling party says the state government has not fielded a lawyer in the Supreme Court. He also said that Chief Minister Thackeray, who is in charge of the law and justice department, and Sharad Pawar, who claims to be the guardian of the alliance government, should disclose Nana Patole's allegations.
The Chief Minister, who has repeatedly said that elections will not be held without OBC reservation, has done nothing to maintain the reservation. Kute and Tillekar also mentioned that the BJP will launch an agitation at the taluka level on September 15 against the alliance government which is stabbing the OBC community in the back.
