The entire Maharashtra was paying attention to this, but the date of the cabinet expansion has finally come out. The new cabinet will be expanded on Sunday, December 15. After the Mahayuti got a clear majority in the state, the cabinet oath-taking ceremony was held on December 5. At this time, Devendra Fadnavis took oath as the Chief Minister and Ajit Pawar and Eknath Shinde took oath as the Deputy Chief Minister. However, the cabinet expansion was delayed. Now the cabinet expansion will take place on Sunday.
Meanwhile, information is coming out that 34 to 35 ministers of the Mahayuti will take oath in the first phase of the cabinet expansion. According to information received from sources, the new cabinet will have 23 ministers from BJP, 13 from Shiv Sena Shinde group and 9 from NCP Sharad Pawar group. Out of these, 17 BJP MLAs, 10 from Shiv Sena and 7 from Ajit Pawar group are likely to take oath as ministers in the first phase on Sunday. According to information that has come to light, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis will hold two important portfolios - Home and Finance.
