ED takes major action against Eknath Khadse in money laundering case; Assets worth Rs 5 crore confiscated

Mumbai: NCP leader and former state revenue minister Eknath Khadse's troubles have been exacerbated by the Bhosari MIDC land acquisition case. Khadse's properties in Lonavla and Jalgaon have been confiscated by the ED. Taking action against Eknath Khadse, the ED has confiscated assets worth Rs 5 crore. Eknath Khadse and his family were being interrogated by the ED for the last few days. Khadse's son-in-law was arrested by the ED in a case. After that, this big action has been taken against Eknath Khadse.

 
Property worth Rs 5 crore belonging to Eknath Khadse in Lonavla and Jalgaon has been seized from the ED. The action was taken by the ED while Eknath Khadse was being investigated in a money laundering case.
According to the ED's allegations, Khadse's son-in-law Girish Chaudhary bought a plot of land in Bhosari in Pune in 2016 when he was the revenue minister. With a market price of Rs 31 crore, Girish bought the plot for just Rs 3 crore. The plot was owned by MIDC. How did the transaction happen at such a low price? What is the source of Rs 3 crore collected by Girish to buy it? The ED had launched an investigation into these issues.
Eknath Khadse's difficulty has been exacerbated by the land purchase case in Bhosari MIDC. Khadse's son-in-law has been arrested by the ED and is currently being questioned. A few days ago, the news of the disappearance of the confidential report of the Jotting Committee on Khadse from the Ministry had caused a stir in the political circles. Meanwhile, the report was found in which it was alleged that Eknath Khadse had misused his position.
