Finance Ministry summons Infosys CEO Salil Parekh

New Delhi: The Income Tax Department has launched a new website to make it easier for taxpayers to pay taxes. Infosys, a major IT company, is working on a new Income Tax Department website. However, it is said that technical issues have not been resolved by Infosys yet. The Finance Ministry has issued summons to Salil Parekh, MD and CEO of Infosys, the country's largest technology company.

The new e-filing portal service of the Income Tax Department has been launched for the last two and a half months. However, the technical flaws are still there. Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has been summoned by Infosys Managing Director and CEO Salil Parekh on August 23, 2021.
Many problems are coming up in the new e-filing portal of the income tax department. Those who file income tax returns face many difficulties. In this regard, the Delhi High Court has said, understand the problem of taxpayers. The e-filing portal of the Income Tax Department is said to be facing problems as it is not functioning smoothly.
