Friday for Future students perform for Ramala Lake Rescue Former MP Naresh Puglia's letter to Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray

CHANDRAPUR: Chimukalya students of Friday for Future in Chandrapur on Friday staged a sit-in on the banks of Ramala Lake demanding control of the rising water pollution in the city's Gondkalin Ramala Lake. He supported the food abstinence satyagraha started by Eco-Pro president Bandu Dhotre.
The polluted environment in Chandrapur city poses a health risk to the citizens of the district. Every Friday last year, school children staged agitation under the Friday for Future initiative to demand pollution control. Now the girls formed a human chain to support the food abstinence satyagraha started by Eco-Pro president Bandu Dhotre to reduce water pollution. Today is the 12th day of the agitation and the administration has not taken any concrete decision. Meanwhile, former MP Naresh Puglia has sent a letter to Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray requesting him to immediately approve the demands made by Eco Pro. It has also demanded that all water sources in Maharashtra except Chandrapur be made pollution free. On behalf of Punjabi Seva Samiti, President Vikram Sharma, Secretary Nitin Kapoor, Treasurer Jatinder Kumar gave their support.
