Inauguration of Achievers Badminton Club at Velahari Besa
Nagpur, dt. 11: In addition to encouraging players, the state government is making efforts to provide them career opportunities. The International Youth Festival is planned in Nagpur next January. Also, corona infection is on the decline and a decision on organizing sports competitions will be taken soon, said Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Sunil Kedar.
Kedar inaugurated the Achievers Badminton Club of Shri Swami Samarth Sports and Welfare Association at Velahari Besa. On this occasion MP Kripal Tumane, Deputy Director of Sports and Youth Services Shekhar Patil, District Sports Officer Avinash Pund, Zilla Parishad Member Megha Mankar, Secretary of District Badminton Association Mangesh Kashikar, Dinkar Kadu, Sanjay Kandgaonkar, Sarpanch of Besa Surendra Banait, Sarpanch of Velahari Sachin Ingole, Club Ajay Donode, Vice President Sanjay Charade were present.
Sport promotes physical and mental development and personality. Team spirit is created. So players need to be encouraged. Even today, many sports coaches, various experts have to be called in from abroad. There are career opportunities in this field and an international sports university has been set up in Pune to train the youth. "As the country's engineers have reached out to the world for their careers in the field of information technology, the trainers and experts at the university will go on to pursue careers in the country and abroad in the future," Kedar said. The Achievers Badminton Club will help develop good players in rural areas, he said.
