Jijamata Vidvat Gaurav Award announced to Lata Mangeshkar


Nagpur, Jan 27: The Empress of India Bharat Ratna Lata Mangeshkar has been selected for the annual Jijamat Scholarship Award presented by the Chhatrapati Seva Pratishthan of Nagpur, said Vijayrao Deshmukh, founder of the foundation.
He said that in the form of award, 1 lakh 51 thousand cash, honors, certificates, shawls and coconuts will be given. Tomorrow is Lata Mangeshkar's 93rd birthday on 28th September. Due to the corona, the award will be presented to Lataji at a private event in Mumbai and there will be no public event, he said.
The Chhatrapati Seva Pratishthan has been awarding the Jijamata Vidvat Gaurav Award since 1982. This is the 40th year this year. So far, the award has been given to 40 dignitaries. In it, Mahamahopadhyaya Dr. And. Vs. Mirashi, Setu Madhavrao Pagadi, Tarkatirtha Lakshmashastri Joshi, Shivshahir Babasaheb Purandare, Govt. Ni. Dandekar, such dignitaries are included. He said that this award will be given to Lata Mangeshkar in recognition of her musical service.
