MNS shocks Shiv Sena over Rs 1,200 crore tender

Mumbai: Raj Thackeray's Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) has accused the Shiv Sena of altering the terms to give a chance to blacklisted contractors in road works contracts. In a press conference held in Mumbai today, MNS general secretary Sandeep Deshpande alleged that the administration and the corporation were working to raise money on the condition that it would award contracts only to those who have contracts with blacklisted contractors. Deshpande has also accused the Shiv Sena of trying to raise money for the elections.

Two thousand crore works are now being given again. There were some contractors in 2016, they were blacklisted, after 2016 a planned tender system was started. Many contractors can now participate in tenders. Now the corporation is again issuing tenders worth Rs 1,200 crore. Deshpande told a press conference that the corporation was saying that if it had an MoU with the mastic plant, it would work now.
It is stipulated that the contract will be awarded only if there is an agreement with the mastic plant. These mastic plants belong to the contractors who were blacklisted. So now it is being done that these people will fill the tender. Municipal administration and Shiv Sena are conspiring to get blacklisted contractors to work. Deshpande has alleged that the municipality has changed the tender process to include blacklisted contractors as the Shiv Sena wants to raise money for the elections.
Also, the role of Shiv Sena in this whole issue should be announced. MNS has accused Veerappan of looting road works in the municipality. Everyone knows who is in Veerappan Gang Municipality. Deshpande has demanded that the Sena declare its love for these blacklisted contractors. The MNS has requested the Roads Department to take action. Otherwise, don't talk if we do anything later in this case, Deshpande has hinted at MNS style movement in suggestive words.
