-World Hindu Economic Forum inaugurated
Mumbai, Dec. 13: We are going to make Maharashtra the country's sub-trillion dollar economy. Last year, the state's target of half a trillion was exceeded. Now, from 2028 to 2030, we will make Maharashtra a trillion dollar economy, said Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.
Chief Minister Shri. Fadnavis was speaking at the inaugural program of the World Hindu Economic Forum from December 13 to 15 at Geo World Convention Center, B.K.C., Bandra.
On this occasion, World Hindu Economic Forum founder Swami Vidyanand, former minister and MLA Mangal Prabhat Lodha, World Hindu Economic Forum President Rajesh Sharma, keynote speaker Padma Shri T.V. Mohandas Pai, Joint Secretary Shailesh Trivedi and dignitaries from various fields of the world were present on this occasion.
Chief Minister Shri. Fadnavis said that Mumbai is the financial capital of the country, but in the coming time Mumbai will become the capital of Fintech. The World Hindu Economic Conference has presented different concepts for development based on the principles of development based on India's culture. There is a fundamental difference between Western culture and ours. In Western culture, only those who are capable can develop. Whereas in Hindu culture, every person born has the right to develop themselves.
After India became independent, it was said that India's development is progressing at the pace of an ant. People believed that India's economy was unsustainable in the world. However, today's spectacular progress of India has amazed the whole world. India, which is moving forward at the fastest pace, is emerging as the third superpower in the world. People in the world were saying that how can a country with such a large population progress? But the human resources available in the country are the important means of development and we are taking everyone along in development, said Chief Minister Shri. Fadnavis on this occasion.
Chief Minister Shri. Fadnavis said that Maharashtra is moving forward at a great pace today. An advisory committee has been formed to make Maharashtra the most developed state in the country and with the advice of this committee, we studied in which areas Maharashtra can move forward. Based on this, the development policy of Maharashtra has been made. In terms of the pace of development, Maharashtra is creating a chain that complements development at the global level. Maharashtra's logistics policy is making efforts to create the fastest road network. Nagpur-Mumbai Samruddhi Highway is 700 kilometers long and connects 16 districts. This highway is directly connected to the JNPT port. This will create a very good supply chain. The Maharashtra state government is focusing on enabling infrastructure such as roads, aviation, and port development. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is keen to make Maharashtra a maritime power along with the country. Vadhuvan Port, which is three times larger than JNPT, will be built and can accommodate the largest ship in the world. Chief Minister Shri. Fadnavis also said that since the government came to power under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi since 2014, the strengthening of infrastructure in the country has accelerated.
Chief Minister Shri. Fadnavis said that based on the thoughts of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, the current Prime Minister Narendra Modi has made a new policy to accelerate the development of the country. While it is being said that the gap between people has increased due to development, India has brought 25 crore people above the poverty line in the last ten years. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has brought the country's Hindu development model to the world. When we come forward based on Hindu thought, India is known as a guiding country to the world. We are going to make India a 5 trillion economy by 2030. We will complete this goal only by 2028. Various financial institutions are saying that India can achieve the goal of a seven trillion economy or even 9 trillion. We are emphasizing on development based on modern technology. According to the Development Survey in 2020, Maharashtra was also first in the country in terms of water table. The forest cover in the state is also high. Chief Minister Shri. Fadnavis also said that the state is focusing on sustainable development through green energy and river linking projects.
Keynote speaker Padmashree T.V. Mohandas Pai said that the human resource available in the country is the strength of our development. A developed India is the future of India.
