Make effective use of the four principles of tracing, testing, treatment, criticism to reduce corona positivity rate - Rajesh Tope

Kolhapur: To further reduce the positivity rate in Kolhapur district, make effective use of the four principles of tracing, testing, treatment and immunization, said Public Health Minister Rajesh Tope. He was speaking at a review meeting on the Corona situation in Kolhapur district, chaired by Health Minister Tope, at the Shahuji Hall of the District Collector's Office.

Health Minister Rajesh Tope said that it is commendable that more than 74 per cent vaccinations have been completed in Kolhapur district in the state. He said that efforts would be made to provide ventilators, health facilities and more vaccines to the district, adding that efforts would be made at the government level to provide vaccines to the citizens of 171 villages affected by the floods. He also said that the discharge samples of the citizens of Kolhapur district will be tested in the laboratory of BJ Medical College in Pune and efforts will be made to get the report as soon as possible.
The state government is taking swift action to provide adequate manpower to the health department and expeditious action should be taken at the district level as well, said Health Minister Tope. Emphasis should be placed on institutional segregation. Use the ‘Home Isolation App’ to monitor the health of citizens in a home separation.

It is important to have a separate call center to control this, he said, adding that the involvement of private medical professionals in corona treatment is also important. He said that in order to do this, he should conduct counseling of the citizens along with adopting treatment methods as per the guidelines laid down for Kovid.
Enable the health system by considering the danger in the third wave. Create adequate beds with ventilators and oxygen, impose strict restrictions in restricted areas, focus on 'Information, Knowledge and Communication' (IEC) to create awareness among the public about compliance with behaviors required for corona prevention, Health Minister Tope said. Citizens should not remove body aches so that patients recover faster. If you experience corona-like symptoms, get checked immediately and get proper treatment in time. Health Minister Tope appealed to the people to avoid crowds, wear masks and follow other rules.
