Mumbai: Dawood's accomplice Chhota Shakeel has now entered the recovery case against former Mumbai Police Commissioner Parambir Singh and five police officers. According to Shyamsunder Agarwal, who had lodged a complaint in the case, he was implicated in a fake case and was moccasined. Shyamsunder Agarwal has alleged that he and his family members were threatened and recovered.

 
According to ABP News, ABP has some phone recordings in the case in which a person is heard threatening builder Sanjay Punmia by phone. He did not settle the issue with Shyamsunder Agarwal, but was threatened with death. According to police, the call was made by Chhota Shakeel, a close associate of underworld Dawood Ibrahim. Shamsunder Das has complained that Chhota Shakeel took his name to deceive him.
According to Mumbai Police sources, Chhota Shakeel is heard threatening a builder named Sanjay Punmiya in the audio. According to the crime data of the police, the number from which the call came was Chhota Shakeel's.
A case has been registered against Parambir Singh and five other Mumbai police personnel for demanding ransom on a complaint lodged by Shamsunder Agarwal at the Marine Drive police station in Mumbai. A case has also been registered against Sanjay Punmiya and Sunil Jain. Police are currently investigating the matter. Parambir Singh has also been fined Rs 24 lakh for the house he was using after his transfer from 2015 to 2018.
