Permission for ‘Serum’ to be tested by the Center for children in the age group of 7-11 years

New Delhi: Corona vaccine maker Serum has been allowed by the Central Bureau of Drug Control (CBRC) in India to include children between the ages of 7 and 11 in vaccination tests. In India too, there is an emphasis on vaccination to protect young children from corona. This vaccination test is allowed only on that background.

A committee of experts from the Central Drug Control Organisation's Central Drug Control Organization said the committee, after detailed discussions, had allowed 7- to 11-year-olds to be tested for corona vaccination as per the rules. It is noteworthy that Serum has already started corona vaccination test for children between the ages of 12 and 17. It is now hoped that children in the 7 to 11 age group will soon be able to get the corona vaccine.
Serum has submitted the report of 100 participants of vaccination test in the age group of 12 to 17 to the Centre's Drug Department. It will be informed soon. In India, only the DNA-based corona vaccine of Zydus cadillac is currently allowed for emergency use. The vaccine can be given to children above 12 years of age.
