Recommendations from the Task Force on Corona Background to the Central Government

New Delhi: The country has been hit hard by the second wave of corona attacks and the high number of corona victims is a matter of concern for the central government. Meanwhile, the central government is facing a major challenge to curb the spread of corona as the number of patients dying from corona is also increasing. Will there be another lockdown in the country against this backdrop? Such a discussion is also colorful. Meanwhile, The Lancet India Task Force has issued some important instructions to the central government to curb the growing spread of corona in the country.

The task force has made some recommendations to the central government. It also mentions lockdown. The task force said that the Center should consider the issue of lockdown while accepting suggestions. The instructions given by the task force to the Center include the daily increase in the number of patients, the number of daily tests, the rate of use of ICE beds.

The task force has recommended that all steps be taken in consultation with the central government in view of the economic implications. He also advised to ensure proper programming and safety net for the worst hit.

The entire lockdown has been opposed by the task force. The whole lockdown is not the only option but many things need to be done. The situation needs to be handled with the right focus and coordination. The steps to be taken in that regard may vary depending on the local situation. Where the corona is spreading rapidly, many restrictions will have to be imposed. So where the numbers are low, there may be appropriate restrictions, the task force said. Although a full lockdown is being demanded, the task force has said it is not an option. It is also advised to divide the country into zones. It will have a division of low, medium and hotspots.
