Recruitment process for 3 thousand 64 vacancies of professors will start soon - Higher and Technical Education Minister Uday Samant

Pune: - On behalf of Net-Set PhD Eligible Struggle Committee, an agitation was being organized in front of the Directorate of Higher Education, Pune office from 21st June 2021 regarding various demands. A total of 4,074 professors were approved for recruitment by the high-level committee. Out of which recruitment of vacancies of 1 thousand 674 professors has been completed. Higher and Technical Education Minister Uday Samant assured that the recruitment process for the 3,064 vacancies that had stalled during the Corona period would begin soon. Welcoming the decision, the Net-Set PhD Eligibility Struggle Committee has decided to withdraw the agitation.
A meeting was held at the District Collector's Office under the chairmanship of Higher and Technical Education Minister Uday Samant to discuss the agitation in front of the Pune office of the Directorate of Higher Education and the statement given by the Net-Set PhD Eligibility Struggle Committee. On this occasion Principal Secretary OP Gupta (via television system) Collector Dr. Rajesh Deshmukh, Director Dhanraj Mane along with senior officers were present.
The Minister of Higher and Technical Education, Mr. Samant, said that the process of recruitment of professors has been completed by the Department of Higher and Technical Education and submitted to the General Administration Department. The General Administration Department has completed the proceedings and submitted the case to the Finance Department for further action. He clarified that the government will take a decision regarding the recruitment soon after getting the approval from the finance ministry after the completion of the process from the finance department. Assuming a total of vacancies by the year 2020, he directed to submit a proposal for 700 posts to the High Level Committee. It was decided to conduct a survey in two months on the number of vacancies for professors by the year 2020.

 
Following the demand of the professors working on Tasika principle, it was decided to pay 48 minutes Tasika as honorarium. It was also decided to form a committee under the chairmanship of Director Dhanraj Mane to take a decision regarding CHB and submit a report within three months.
He said that a committee comprising Minister for Higher and Technical Education, Minister for Social Justice, Minister for Tribal Welfare and other Backward Bahujan Welfare Department would be constituted for the cadre wise policy and appropriate decision would be taken soon.
Responding positively to the demand made by Maharashtra State Librarians Federation for the recruitment of grant aided senior colleges as well as university librarians, it has been decided to approve the recruitment of 121 librarians as well as 659 academic teachers. Welcoming the decision, the Maharashtra State Librarians Federation has decided to postpone the agitation on June 28.
