Reliance Jio bought the most spectrum

The two-day spectrum auction called by the telecom department ended on Tuesday, with Reliance Jio becoming the largest buyer of spectrum. According to the department secretary, Reliance had bid Rs 57,122.65 crore for the spectrum. A total of Rs 77,814.80 crore worth of spectrum was bought in the two-day auction.
Vodafone Idea has bought spectrum worth Rs 1993.40 crore. They have purchased spectrum in 5 circles, which will help increase their 4G coverage capacity. Bharti Airtel has bought Rs 18,699 crore, which will help them provide FiveG services in the future.
Reliance Jio has purchased spectrum in all 22 circles which will be used to provide FiveG services. They have purchased a total of 1717 MHz. This purchase is 55% higher than before. Reliance had recently announced the development of indigenous Five G technology and its testing in the US. President Mukesh Ambani had announced that the Five G service would be launched in the country later this year.
Ambani had said at the time that Geo had revolutionized India and was ready to further expand the digital footprint in India.
