It has now decided to remove these restrictions.

As the dearness allowance, which was discontinued during the Corona period, will now be increased, it is a great relief to the employees working in the establishments of the Central Government. A decision in this regard has been taken today. The decision removes the three-week restrictions on inflation allowances applicable from 1 January 2020, 1 July 2020 and 1 January 2021 last year. These restrictions are now expected to increase by a total of 11 per cent in three weeks. This means that the current 17 per cent increase in inflation allowance will be 28 per cent.
Pensioners, including central employees, will benefit from the central government's decision. After the outbreak of the corona in the country, restrictions on raising inflation allowances were imposed in view of the growing strain on the economy. In April, after the outbreak of the Corona epidemic last year, the Union Cabinet had banned the payment of inflation allowance to government employees in two weeks. Weeks of DA are paid every six months. This week is given to government employees on January 1 and July 1.
