State government approval for new energy projects


MUMBAI: The state cabinet has approved the setting up of solar power projects at various locations in the state. It also approved the provision of share capital from Mahanirmithi. The meeting was chaired by Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray.
The Cabinet approved two separate proposals for 187 MW capacity projects as well as 390 MW capacity solar power projects.
Approval to raise funds for 187 MW projects (Decision-1)
Mauje Kaudgaon, District Osmanabad at 50 MW. Capacity, Mauje Sindala (Lohara), District Latur at 60 MW. 20 MW at Bhusawal, 12 MW at Parli, 12 MW at Koradi and 8 MW at Nashik. A total of 52 MW. Capacity and Mauje Shivajinagar, Sakri District Dhule 25 MW. Solar power projects with a total capacity of 187 MW will be set up.
This 187 MW. For capacity projects, Messrs. KFW-Bank Germany The project financing agreement for the capacity solar project was extended and a loan of up to Rs 588.21 crore from the remaining project financing in 2011 (approximately 72.81 million euros) was approved to be taken from KFW-Bank Germany.
 The agreement for these projects was approved on behalf of the State Government as well as in coordination with the Central Government and with the consent of the Finance Department. The project will be set up on an Engineering-Procurement and Construction (EPC) basis through Mahanirmithi Company. This 187 MW. About Rs. 158.29 crore in the form of share capital for capacity projects was sanctioned to be raised from internal sources or through loans from financial institutions. The loan taken from KFWBank Germany will be repaid by Mahanirmitee.
To set up 390 MW solar power plant (Decision-2)
Mahanirmiti Engineering - Procurement and Construction (EPC) on the principle of Washim district Mauje Dudhkheda, Mauje Pardi tal. Kamor, Mauje Kanjara with 60 MW, 30 MW and 40 MW with a total capacity of 130 MW and under Washim-1 project at Mauje Babhulgaon and Mauje Saykheda with a total capacity of 20 MW each with 40 MW and under Washim-2 project at Chandrapur district at 145 MW. .W. In Yavatmal district, Mauje Mangaladevi, Mauje Pimpri Ijara and Mauje Malkhed will have 25 MW each with a total capacity of 75 MW with a total capacity of 390 MW.
For the proposed 390 MW capacity solar project, a loan of 0.05 per cent per annum was approved from KFW Bank, Germany at a cost of Rs. 1564.22 crore excluding self-share capital. Approval was also given for repayment of the loan within a maximum period of 12 years and for obtaining new project financing under innovative project conditions. The agreement for these projects was approved on behalf of the State Government as well as in coordination with the Central Government and with the consent of the Finance Department. In addition to the loan, approximately Rs. 364.18 crore in the form of capital was also sanctioned to be raised from internal sources or through loans from financial institutions. Also, the loan taken from KFW Bank Germany will be repaid by Mahanirmitee.
