The Mahavikas Aghadi government had called for a Maharashtra bandh today to protest the incident at Lakhimpur-Khiri, but opposition leader Devendra Fadnavis criticized the bandh as government terrorism. Shiv Sainiks in Mumbai suburbs responded spontaneously to the Maharashtra bandh announced today in protest of the Lakhimpur incident. Shiv Sena staged a march from Sakinaka Junction to Asalfa Metro Station. The march was led by Shiv Sena MLA Dilip Lande. Later, the procession reached Asalfa metro station and Shiv Sainiks blocked the road. Ghatkopar Andheri Link Road was blocked for some time. Due to this, there was a traffic jam on both the routes.
