Tamil Nadu BJP secretary Raghavan resigns after offensive video goes viral

Chennai: BJP leader from Tamil Nadu K.S. T Raghavan has resigned after a video went viral on YouTube. The video shows Raghavan misbehaving with women and was released by BJP members. He is seen shirtless and video chatting with women party workers.

The video was uploaded by Madan Ravichandran on Tuesday morning and he has about 15 such videos of Raghavan. It was also decided to release the video in consultation with state president K Annamalai. Ravichandran has claimed that Annamalai asked the victim to release the video to get justice.
Raghavan has resigned immediately after the video surfaced. I have been working selflessly for the party for the last three decades. Raghavan has denied all the allegations leveled against him, saying the video went viral to tarnish his image and that of the party.
Annamalai, meanwhile, said an inter-party committee has been appointed to probe the matter. An investigation is also underway into whether the video is genuine. Ravichandran has said that the video was released with Annamalai's permission. He also reacted to this. I asked them to release the video. However, before checking the credibility of the video, the party had said that no action should be taken against Raghavan and no show cause notice should be issued.
