The Minister of Energy directed to make special efforts to ensure that no village or pada in remote areas remains in darkness

Mumbai: In order to provide adequate and uninterrupted power supply to the consumers, in the next 5 years, the state's energy minister Dr. Nitin Raut gave it to Mahatrans.

 
While reviewing the five-year plan presented by Mahapareshan under the five-year plan at the Ministry, he directed the MSEDCL and the Mahapareshan administration to make special efforts to ensure adequate power supply even in remote areas like Melghat and not to leave any village or pada in remote areas in darkness.
In the five years from 2019-20 to 2024-25, a total of 87 high voltage power substations will be set up in the state, which will increase the capacity by 30,000 MVA and create a new network of high pressure lines of 10,707 km. It is expected to cost 10 thousand 823 crore rupees.
The five-year plan was presented by Sanjay Taksande, Director in charge of Mahatrans and Director of MSEDCL. Principal Secretary Energy and Mahatrans Chairman and Managing Director Dinesh Waghmare were present on the occasion.
