Vaccination of citizens above 18 years of age from today

Nagpur dt. 22: It has been announced to vaccinate citizens above 18 years of age in rural areas of Nagpur district from tomorrow for preventive vaccination against corona. Vaccination will start from tomorrow 23rd June at all sub-district health centers, rural hospitals and primary health centers in the district.
The decision was announced late last night and Zilla Parishad Chief Executive Officer Yogesh Kumbhejkar has directed the district health system to be ready for the initiative. There has been an appeal to speed up vaccination to stem the third wave.
Earlier, vaccination in the age group of 18 to 44 years was started in Maharashtra as per the instructions of the Central Government, but interim vaccination was stopped. The central government has now allowed the state government to set the age group. Accordingly, last week, the first state government had fixed 33 to 44 groups. However, vaccination for 18-year-olds will start from tomorrow. Nagpur district has 53 primary health centers, 10 rural hospitals and 2 sub-district hospitals. Vaccination will start from tomorrow in all these places.
