In India, 5 lakh people are losing their lives every year in roads, accidents and water and other accidents and various calamities. Therefore, there should be a LiFESaver in every household in India and this task will be done by the National Life Saving Society, said Admiral PD Sharma at the inaugural function of the Lifeguard Instructor Week. On the occasion of National Security Week, NMC on behalf of National Life Saving Society India from 22nd February 2021 to 27th February 2021. A 7-day training week has been organized at Sports Complex Nagpur. The same week was inaugurated by Sharma. He further said that the topic of life saving should be included in school studies. Moreover, it should be considered in sports competitions. This week, the trainees and winners will be honored with life-saving awards. The National Life Saving Society has been providing training and disaster management in the field for the last 23 years. So far, the organization has trained more than 6 lakh people in 28 states across the country to become "lifeguards". This new record has been set by this organization. This week in Nagpur, first aid training will be given and special lifeguards will be trained to rescue drowning citizens in lakes and seas. Management and Process as well as Road Safety (Accident) Lifeguard Training, Lifeguard Sports Competition Training and Preparation as well as Asha Various Lifeguard Competitions are also organized during this week. , Will be trained by renowned experts like Jacob Vijaykumar.
