'PRAGATI' to be Implemented Across 9 States via Highways, Railways, and Airports; PM Modi Unveils Grand ?30,000 Crore Scheme

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi presided over the 51st high-level review meeting of 'PRAGATI' on Monday. During this meeting, seven major infrastructure projects spanning the railway, power, and road sectors were discussed in detail. These projects are spread across nine states and have a total estimated cost of approximately ?30,000 crore.
The meeting also included a review of the progress of the Ken-Betwa Link Project and the Swachh Bharat Mission (Urban) 2.0. Prime Minister Modi emphasized the need to rapidly implement rooftop solar projects in urban areas in a "mission mode." He issued directives to accelerate the adoption of solar energy in residential zones and public institutions.

The Cabinet Secretary informed that a monthly review mechanism for social schemes has been initiated across the states, with the Swachh Bharat Mission being the first to undergo this review.
