Protest Against Allegations of Harassment and Forced Conversion of Women at TCS
‘Ranragini Janakrosh’ Bike Rally in Nashik; Massive Participation by Women Under the Leadership of Devyani Farande; Protest Against Allegations of Harassment and Forced Conversion of Women at TCS
Nashik: On Thursday (April 16, 2026), the ‘Sakal Hindu Samaj’ (Entire Hindu Community) adopted an aggressive stance against allegations of sexual harassment, molestation, mental abuse, and forced religious conversion involving women employees at the TCS facility in Nashik. Under the leadership of BJP MLA Devyani Farande, a grand two-wheeler rally (bike rally) was organized, proceeding from the TCS office to the District Collector's office. A large number of women participated in this rally. The protesters submitted a demand to the District Collector to put an end to what they termed ‘Corporate Jihad.’
Clad in saffron scarves and caps, the protesters raised spirited slogans. They reached the statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj at CBS Chowk, where they submitted a memorandum in the name of Shivaji Maharaj. The memorandum stated: “In the sacred land of Nashik, a ‘Jihadi’ mindset is being propagated under the guise of the corporate sector. The harassment occurring within a renowned company like TCS is not merely an administrative lapse, but a well-orchestrated attack.”
Office-bearers of the Sakal Hindu Samaj stated: “Despite submitting repeated complaints to the administration, their lukewarm response feels like rubbing salt in the wound. It is imperative to strictly curb these tendencies of harassment and forced conversion, which trample upon Hindu values. It is a matter of shame that our Hindu sisters feel unsafe in their workplaces. This struggle will continue until the guilty are punished and a safe environment is ensured for women.”
MLA Devyani Farande led this rally. Prior to this, BJP office-bearers had also organized a protest march regarding this issue. The Sakal Hindu Samaj clarified that this agitation is not directed against the IT sector itself, but is aimed at upholding the dignity and safety of women. The protest march concluded peacefully.
This incident has caused a stir in Nashik, and there are reports that TCS has offered its employees a 'Work from Home' option for safety reasons. The protesters have demanded strict action against the culprits and a safe working environment for women.
