“Investment of ?2.56 Lakh Crore in Maharashtra; Over 1 Lakh Jobs to be Created through 18 Mega Projects”
Mumbai: The State Cabinet has taken a historic decision that will provide a major boost to Maharashtra's industrial development, approving 18 mega and ultra-mega projects involving a massive investment of ?2.56 lakh crore within the state. These projects are expected to generate over 1 lakh direct and indirect jobs across the state.
This significant decision was taken during a meeting of the Cabinet Sub-committee on Industry, Energy, Labor, and Mining, presided over by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Industries Minister Uday Samant, and senior officials were present at the meeting.

These 18 projects place a special emphasis on futuristic technologies and green energy. These sectors include:
Solar Cells and Modules
Green Steel and Green Ammonia
Electronics Manufacturing
Aerospace and Defense Equipment
Lithium-ion Batteries
Electric Vehicle (EV) Industry
Gas-to-Chemical Projects
Through all these sectors, Maharashtra is taking a major stride towards becoming a “Future-Ready Industrial Hub.”

These projects have been distributed across various districts of the state, thereby ensuring the balanced development of the Vidarbha, Marathwada, and Konkan regions. ???? Key Investment and Employment Opportunities:

Approximately 25,000 jobs
Gadchiroli –
Rashmi Metallurgical Project: ~?40,000 Crores

Eurobus Project: ~?4,200 Crores
12,000 jobs
Chandrapur / Nagpur / Bhandara –
Steel, Green Energy, and Automobile Projects

Alongside these initiatives, the State Government has also approved the Compressed Biogas (CBG) Policy 2026, which entails:
