“Plot to Divide the Nation Foiled; Only ‘Maharashtra Dharma’ Can Save the Country – Uddhav Thackeray”

“Serious Allegations Against the Ruling Powers; A Call for ‘Maharashtra Dharma’ – Thackeray”
Mumbai: Against the backdrop of the ‘Nari Shakti Vandan’ (Women's Reservation) Amendment Bill, Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) party chief Uddhav Thackeray alleged that the ruling powers had hatched a conspiracy to create a rift within the country. However, he asserted that this plot was successfully thwarted by the opposition parties.
Speaking at the annual meeting of the ‘Bharatiya Kamgar Sena,’ held at the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Temple in Dadar, Thackeray launched a scathing attack on both the Central and State governments. “We are Hindus; so what exactly is meant by the threat to ‘tear off the masks’ of the opposition?” he questioned.
Thackeray further stated that firmly opposing injustice constitutes the true ‘Maharashtra Dharma,’ and that it alone possesses the power to save both the nation and the principles of Hindutva. He also criticized certain individuals, remarking that they are willing to stoop to any level in their pursuit of political power.
During his address, he also took the government to task over the issue of women's reservation. He raised the question as to why the President of India was not extended an invitation to the inauguration of the new Parliament building or to the Ram Temple consecration ceremony. He further demanded the immediate implementation of the women's reservation policy.
Appealing to his party cadres, Thackeray declared that whenever an injustice is being inflicted upon Maharashtra, every individual must stand united as a “Maharashtrian.” He emphasized that just as Bengalis stand up for Bengal and Tamils ??for Tamil Nadu, a similar spirit of unity is absolutely essential within Maharashtra.
