"Attempts to Attack Journalists are Outrageous" – Nana Patole; Orders Issued for Immediate Report on the Matter
Mumbai/Nagpur: Congress leader and MLA Nana Patole has demanded serious notice be taken regarding incidents where journalists—who bring information to the public—are being threatened and subjected to attempted attacks.
In this regard, Nana Patole stated, "It is absolutely outrageous that journalists, who perform the task of presenting information to the public, are being threatened or facing attempted attacks simply for reporting news. Therefore, cognizance of this incident must be taken, and instructions should be issued to submit an immediate report on the matter."
Patole emphasized that since journalism is the fourth pillar of democracy, no encroachment upon its freedom should be tolerated. Following this incident, directives have been issued to the district administration and relevant authorities to submit an immediate report.
