Tehran: Following the burial of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, his son Mojtaba Khamenei addressed the Iranian people for the first time. Speaking in highly aggressive and vengeful terms, he issued a direct challenge of war to the United States and Israel.
Mojtaba stated, "We will certainly avenge the blood my father shed. If those who attacked Iran think they can remain at peace, they should abandon that notion immediately. We will send them straight to the grave. We are preparing a 'hit list' of our enemies for this purpose."
He added, "Whether I remain in this position or not, the revenge for my father's assassination will be carried out. This is not merely a matter of personal vengeance; it is the duty of the entire nation. We swear by the blood of our martyred leaders."
