"Rahul Gandhi's serious allegations: Maharashtra elections were 'gamed', BJP responds

Mumbai: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has made serious allegations regarding the Maharashtra assembly elections. He claimed that 'match fixing' took place in the elections and there were large-scale irregularities during the election process and counting of votes. Rahul Gandhi told a press conference, "The technique of stealing elections is now known to everyone. Due to manipulation of voting machines, irregularities in counting of votes and misuse of administrative machinery, the mandate of the people was stolen." He targeted the Election Commission and the ruling party for this.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has given a strong response to these allegations of Rahul Gandhi. BJP spokesperson Sudhir Mungantiwar termed Rahul Gandhi's statement as 'baseless and false'. He said, "Congress cannot accept defeat, that is why they are making such false allegations. The Election Commission is independent and works transparently. Rahul Gandhi should provide evidence, otherwise he should apologize."
The controversy has heated up the political atmosphere in Maharashtra. The war of words between the Congress and the BJP has intensified, and this is likely to have an impact on the upcoming political equations. The Election Commission has not yet given any official response to these allegations.
