"Shirsat's attack on Danve over hotel purchase allegations: 'How many properties and wives, will we also remove them?'"

Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: A political controversy has erupted over the purchase of VITS Hotel by the son of state Social Justice Minister Sanjay Shirsat for Rs 67 crore. The opposition has alleged that there was malpractice in this transaction, and Leader of Opposition in the Legislative Council, Ambadas Danve, has strongly criticized Shirsat. Danve has challenged him to reveal the names of the five partners in this purchase. Responding to this, Sanjay Shirsat has made a scathing attack, saying, "Let alone your properties, how many wives you have will also have to be removed."
Ambadas Danve's allegations
Speaking on the hotel purchase transaction, Ambadas Danve said, "I challenge Shirsat to reveal the names of the five partners. I have a list of their names. If they reveal the names, I will open the file." Danve further said that Shirsat's son Siddhant and four others have bought the hotel together. "I have all the documents. Shirsat should tell me in which newspaper the tender advertisement was published. I have seen the income tax documents. There is evidence that the tender was managed. The two partners are from the family. The mention of Siddhant Shirsat in the 2024 affidavit is incorrect," Danve also stated.
Sanjay Shirsat's reply
Replying to Ambadas Danve's allegations, Sanjay Shirsat said, "Danve has not yet come to his senses. I do not know who gave him the post of opposition leader. Let the agreement be completed, why the rush? The names will be known from the agreement. Even though 25 percent of the money has not been paid yet, he started shouting. Have some sense, or have you started drinking alcohol? How much and where are your properties, will we remove them? Let alone the property, how many wives do you have, we will also have to remove them," Shirsat gave a stern warning.
He further said, "Don't strain your head. I am calm, but not a villager. I can answer everyone in one go. I am not afraid of anyone's father. Whatever I do, I will sting or hurt," Shirsat also warned.
