1400 to 1500 people booked for stone pelting and violence

Nashik encroachment dargah demolished: A case has been registered against 1400 to 1500 people in the case of stone pelting and violence on Pakhal Road in Nashik. Nashik Police has come into action mode in the case of violence in Nashik. Nashik Police Commissioner Sandeep Karnik told a press conference that strict action is being taken in the incident that took place at the dargah in Nashik city.
So far, 57 suspected accused have been found in this case and 25 people have been arrested. The suspected accused include Hanif Bashir of Congress, Nilofar Sheikh of Thackeray's Shiv Sena, and Arif Haji Patel Sheikh of Sharad Pawar's NCP. A case has been registered for conspiracy, spreading rumors, and direct and indirect involvement in violence. During the dargah encroachment operation, a mob attacked the Nashik police. In this attack, 21 police officers and employees were injured and 25 to 30 vehicles were vandalized. The police were attacked with deadly weapons, sticks, stones, bricks and tiles. The police are investigating based on mobile videos, CCTV footage from the area and other evidence.
