The point of humanity, philanthropy, trustworthiness was lost
- Devendra Fadnavis
Mumbai, October 10 With the death of veteran industrialist Mr. Ratan Tata, a senior personality who made the entire country feel the richness of humanity has passed away. Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has said in his condolence that humanity, charity and trustworthiness have been lost with his death.
Mr. Ratan Tata was a successful businessman. But, beyond that, he was a threat to the country. He was the epitome of community spirit, humanity and modesty. His work in the field of education, rural development and malnutrition, health is very remarkable. Along with the economic development of the country, his contribution in the development of humanity is very great. He always lived with the belief that what he earned from the society should be returned to the society. Be it the facilities started long ago by the Tata Trust for cancer patients, or the animal hospital started recently in Mumbai, this shows their compassion. I had the opportunity to meet with Ratan Tata many times. We created the Village Social Transformation Foundation in the state when he was the Chief Minister, he used to attend most of the meetings at that time. He was very active and worked with the state government. At the same time, he was consistently with us when 'Magnetic Maharashtra' was organized to increase investment in the state. When we established the National Cancer Institute at Nagpur, it was his constant guidance and active support. His departure is a great loss to Maharashtra and the country. Devendra Fadnavis has said that I offer heartfelt tributes to him.
