AAP's second list, tickets of 17 MLAs cancelled: Manish Sisodia to contest from Jangpura instead of Patparganj
Delhi Assembly:-The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Monday announced the second list of 20 candidates for the Delhi Assembly elections. In this, the tickets of 17 sitting MLAs have been cancelled. The seats of 3 candidates have been changed.
Former Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia will contest from Jangpura. Earlier, he was contesting from Patparganj. AAP has fielded UPSC teacher Avadh Ojha from Patparganj. Ojha had joined the party on December 2 itself.
Among the famous faces, AAP has cancelled the ticket of sitting MLA Dilip Pandey of Timarpur. Surendra Pal Singh Bittu, who joined AAP from BJP two days ago, has been given the nomination in his place.
The first list of AAP was released on November 21, which had the names of 11 candidates. In this, 6 people from BJP-Congress were given tickets. The party has so far announced candidates for 31 seats.
The term of the Delhi Assembly ends on February 23, 2025. The last elections were held in February 2020. AAP won 62 out of 70 seats. BJP won 8 seats and Congress could not win a single seat.
