ASI got many designs in the dome of Gyanvapi
More than 20 niches of temple style were also found; 3-D photography of walls done
Varanasi. The fourth day survey of Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) was completed in Gyanvapi. ASI first opened the lock of Vyas basement by taking the key from the Muslim side on Sunday morning. Got it cleaned and exhaust fitted. After this the survey started.
Survey of all the three domes and premises of Gyanvapi was done. ASI measured in Vyas Basement. 3-D photography of walls, scanning done. Noted points of artefacts found on the walls in the chart. Two GPR experts from Kanpur IIT were also with the survey team. It is being told that the survey can start with the GPR machine in a day or two.
The team took a break for lunch and prayers at 12.30. The survey was started again from 2.30 pm. After this, the survey work was done till 5 pm. The Muslim side has said to hand over the keys of the main basement soon.

On the fourth day, the ASI team found many designs in the circular roof during the survey of the domes. The team saw many designs in the three dome ceiling in the hall itself. Their photography and videography were done one by one.
In this hall, till now more than 20 niches (cabinet made in the wall, it is called takhe in Purvanchal) seen in the temples have also been seen. There was also 3-D mapping of the structure of the niches and the raised features around them. The Hindu side said that we are moving forward. The full survey of the dome will take time, but the design of the ceiling has increased our enthusiasm.
Muslim side said – Hindu side is putting pressure on ASI team
SM Yasin, Joint Secretary of Anjuman Intezamia Masajid Committee, said – To put pressure on the ASI team, the litigants of the Hindu side are making rhetoric. The administration should keep an eye on the rhetoric of the litigants from the Hindu side. If the statements of the litigants of the Hindu side are not stopped, they will take recourse to the legal process.
Report will have to be submitted to the court by September 2
To see the entire Gyanvapi building at one go, 3D imagery is being prepared through satellite. In this, the team will also do 3D imaging, mapping and screening of the walls. On Sunday, 58 people from ASI, 8 people from Hindu side and 3 people from Muslim side are present. There, the hearing was held in the district court on Saturday. The court of Ajay Kumar Vishwesh ordered that the ASI will have to submit its survey report by 2 September.
