Address students' demands; issues won't be resolved without dialogue – Sharad Pawar

Pune: Senior leader Sharad Pawar has urged the government to immediately find a way to address the demands of students protesting against the chaos, paper leaks, and corruption allegations surrounding the MPSC examinations. "Issues will not be resolved without dialogue. A solution must be found regarding the students' demands. There needs to be constructive communication. Justice must be served while taking the students' sentiments into account," Pawar stated.
A delegation of protesting students met Sharad Pawar on Sunday and explained their demands in detail. Following this, Pawar contacted Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis by phone. He assured the students that since Fadnavis is currently in Nagpur, he would address their issues and engage in dialogue immediately upon returning to Mumbai on Monday morning.
Students preparing for competitive exams have been staging an indefinite protest in Pune since October 2. Their key demands include the resignation of the State Public Service Commission (MPSC) Chairman, official cognizance of paper leak incidents, and the resolution of chaos within the recruitment process. Dissatisfaction among the students has grown as the government has failed to take any concrete decision even after three days.
Meanwhile, Uddhav Sena leader Sanjay Raut also extended his support to the protest. "A complete overhaul and cleansing of the MPSC is necessary. Corruption is rampant in the commission from top to bottom. This is an attempt to ruin an entire generation," Raut remarked. Prominent leaders such as Congress's Vijay Wadettiwar and Anil Deshmukh also visited the protest site and interacted with the students.
Emphasizing that delivering justice to the students is the government's moral responsibility, Sharad Pawar has urged the Chief Minister to pay serious attention to their demands.
