Ajit Pawar plane crash: Rohit Pawar regrets not getting help from Praful Patel's aviation contacts
Baramati, February 26, 2026: Nationalist Congress Party MLA Rohit Pawar has raised questions about the role of the party and family in the Ajit Pawar plane crash case. He clarified that if Ajit Pawar's family asks for evidence, they are ready to provide it, but they will have to fight. He also expressed regret that senior party leader Praful Patel's strong contacts in the aviation sector were not taken advantage of.
Rohit Pawar was present at the Baramati police station today to demand the registration of an FIR in the accidental death of Ajit Pawar. Even after about two hours of discussion, the FIR was not registered. He criticized the VSR company and the government machinery for this.
Speaking about the lack of activity from Ajit Pawar's family and party in this case, Rohit said, "Jai Pawar had demanded a CBI inquiry on social media. If anyone from the family comes today and says that we fight, I will give all the documents. But they should fight." He also said that party MLA Amol Mitkari had come to the Mumbai police station yesterday.
Speaking about Praful Patel, Rohit Pawar said, "Praful Patel has very strong contacts in the aviation sector. It would have been great if he had helped us collect evidence. But that did not happen." He also mentioned that this delay would have accelerated the investigation in the case.
Rohit Pawar has been consistently active in this case and is presenting evidence. However, it seems that he is not getting the expected support from the party and family.
