Ajit Pawar's bullying of a woman DSP... uproar over viral video! Sanjay Raut demands resignation
Maharashtra Politics: Shiv Sena (Ubatha) leader Sanjay Raut on Friday accused Ajit Pawar of protecting "thieves" and said he has no right to remain in the government. Raut's statement came in the wake of a video in which Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Raut is purportedly seen scolding a woman Indian Police Service (IPS) officer over the phone.
Rajya Sabha MP Raut said, "He is so disciplined, isn't he? Where is your discipline? He is scolding her (the IPS officer) for protecting thieves of his party (NCP)." He said, "Illegal excavation of murram soil is causing loss to the government treasury. As it has become public, Ajit Pawar has no right to remain in the government. Earlier too, many (leaders) had to resign on moral grounds due to such incidents." Looting the whole state
Raut alleged, "You are looting the whole state. The ministers should be ashamed." In the video, Pawar is seen scolding the woman IPS officer who was taking action against illegal excavation of murum soil in Solapur district. In the video, Pawar can be seen talking to Karmala's sub-divisional police officer, Anjana Krishna, from a NCP worker's phone.
However, she does not recognize his voice. After this, Pawar makes a video call to the police officer and asks her in strong words to stop the action against illegal excavation of murum soil.
DSP did not recognize
Let us tell you that murum is widely used in road construction and as filling material. During the call, Krishna can be heard saying that she could not understand that the Deputy Chief Minister was talking to her. Pawar then asks if she can recognize him by looking at his face.
As the controversy erupted after the incident, the NCP claimed that Pawar did not intend to stop the action but may have scolded the officer to calm down the party workers. It was also said that the video clip of the incident was leaked intentionally.
