Ambulance scam accused Amit Salunkhe's Maharashtra connection! Who is the mastermind behind the Rs 12,000 crore tender?

Pune: The controversial Rs 12,000 crore ambulance tender case in the state has once again sparked discussion! Amit Salunkhe, director of Pimpri Chinchwad's 'Sumit Facilities' company, has been arrested in Ranchi in connection with the Rs 450 crore liquor scam in Jharkhand. Notably, the same company has got an ambulance tender worth Rs 12,000 crore in Maharashtra, against which serious allegations are being made. What exactly is at the root of this scam? And who is the political leader behind this? This question has arisen.
12,000 crore tender in the state
Jharkhand ACB arrested Pune businessman Amit Salunkhe in Ranchi in connection with the Rs 450 crore liquor scam in Jharkhand. Salunkhe is the director of 'Sumit Facilities Private Limited', which was awarded a controversial ambulance tender worth Rs 12,000 crore by the Maharashtra government. Interestingly, this company was awarded this tender in Maharashtra even though the Jharkhand government had blacklisted it. What exactly is behind this?, asked Vijay Kumbhar, the original complainant in the case, a Right to Information activist.
The cost of the ambulance tender in Maharashtra is a whopping Rs 12,000 crore. 'Sumit Facilities' has a 55 percent share in this, while Spain-based companies 'SSG' and 'BVG' got the remaining share. But it is alleged that this tender was awarded at a price three times the market price. Due to this, the government will have an additional burden of Rs 6,000 crore in 10 years. There are serious allegations of irregularities in the tender process, lack of transparency and giving benefits to certain contractors.
Vijay Kumbhar has mentioned 4 points in this case.
This tender was prepared for only one company. 'Sumit Facilities' has no experience in this, yet they were given the red carpet.
The cost of purchasing ambulances in Maharashtra went up from Rs 637 crore to Rs 12,000 crore. This will cost the exchequer Rs 30,000 crore.
Amit Salunkhe and his brother have also been involved in the sanitation, garbage and Ulhasnagar tender scams in the past.
The draft of this tender was prepared directly in the contractor's office, which has been proven in forensic examination. This should be thoroughly investigated.
Vijay Kumbhar has been following up on the matter continuously. He has exposed the errors and irregularities in the tender. He alleges that the tender process was carried out with a view to specific contractors.
Not only Amit Salunkhe, but his brother Sumit Salunkhe's name has also come up in this tender case. He was also involved in the sanitation and garbage tender scams in Pune and Ulhasnagar earlier. Interestingly, it is alleged that the Salunkhe brothers had the support of the leaders of the then government. Even during the tenure of the then Health Minister Tanaji Sawant, new ambulances were not supplied, and even today the old ambulances are being used.
The ambulance tender scam in Maharashtra has once again raised a question mark. Although Amit Salunkhe was arrested in the Jharkhand liquor scam case, it is likely to speed up the investigation in the Rs 12,000 crore tender case in Maharashtra as well. The government has been criticized for errors in the tender, triple prices and allegations of giving benefits to certain contractors. Now the question is whether this case will be thoroughly investigated and action will be taken against the guilty or will this scam remain only on paper?
