Announcement to take out march for EPS 95 pension hike in Nagpur session

Nagpur: Dated 15 December:-Prakash Pathak, National General Secretary of EPS 95 Retired Employees National Coordinating Committee today announced a march in the Nagpur session of the Legislature to demand an increase in the meager pension received under the EPS-95 scheme.
     He was speaking as the chief guest at the pensioners meeting jointly organized by Coordination Committee, Nagpur Shramik Journalists Union, Tilak Journalists Bhavan Trust, Jyeshtha Citizens Corporation Vidarbha. Shirish Borkar, president of the Journalists Association, presided.
     Due to the recent verdict of the Supreme Court regarding EPS pension, all those who retired till 1-9-2014 will get pension. But Dada Zode, National Adviser of the Coordinating Committee cleared the confusion regarding this result by clarifying that the pension will continue to apply to those who joined the service after that.
    General Secretary of Senior Citizens Corporation And.Avinash Telang appealed that the government should be put under pressure to implement the recommendations of the Koshyari Committee.
     Shyam Deshmukh, Nagpur President of Coordination Committee warned that there is no option without struggle and the government will not wake up. Journalist Vinod Deshmukh, organizer of the gathering, made the introduction and moderated the meeting.
