Application by Thackeray group for Dussehra Mela three months ago
Shivsena Thackeray Group Dussehra melava : After Ganeshotsav, everyone is now looking forward to Navratri and Dussehra festivals. Dussehra festival is just a few days away. Like every year, Dussehra festival will be seen at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Park in Mumbai. Now only the Thackeray group has applied for the Dussehra gathering. However, the Mumbai Municipal Corporation has not yet given permission for this gathering.
Dussehra gathering is considered very prestigious for Shiv Sena. Dussehra is coming on October 12 and now only 20 days are left. Dussehra is just a few days away and curiosity has arisen as to which of the two factions of Shiv Sena will be allowed to hold a meeting at Dadar's Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Park this year. But this time only Shiv Sena's Thackeray group has submitted an application to the municipal administration for Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Park. An application in this regard has been filed by the Thackeray group three months ago.
Mahesh Sawant applied three months ago
Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Udyan i.e. Shivaji Park, located in Dadar area of ??Mumbai, holds Shiv Sena's Dussehra gathering every year. Shiv Sena has split into two factions due to political conflict in the state. Therefore, the battle of prestige is going on between the two factions of Shiv Sena after the Dussehra gathering. Meanwhile, Mahesh Sawant, the Shiv Sena division head of the Thackeray group, has given permission to get Shivaji Park for organizing Dussehra Mela. Mahesh Sawant has made this application three months ago. However, the municipal administration has not taken any decision on this yet, said Mahesh Sawant.
Interestingly, Mahesh Sawant has sent three reminders to the municipality in this matter. But no reply has been received. On the other hand, information is coming out that even though the Thackeray group has applied for the Dussehra gathering, no decision has been taken yet.
At Shiv Sainik Shivaji Park in the state
Meanwhile, the first Dussehra meeting of Shiv Sena was held at Shivaji Park in 1966. Since then, with the exception of few incidents like rain and Corona period, Dussehra Melave has been organized continuously at Shivaji Park. After the collapse of two groups of Shiv Sena, in the Dussehra gathering held in 2022, due to the permission of the Maidan, there was a strong Tu Tu Mai Mai between the two groups. The dispute between these two groups had reached the court. After this, the Thackeray group rushed to the court. After a court battle, the Thackeray group was granted permission. Shiv Sainiks of the state responded well to that meeting.
After this, both groups of Shiv Sena had applied for the Dussehra gathering of 2023 last year. Even then, the Thackeray group had given a reminder to the municipal administration. A march was also held at the department office. After this controversy reached an extreme, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde's Shiv Sena MLA Sada Saravankar withdrew the application for the Shivaji Park Maidan. Last year, Shinde's Shiv Sena rally was held at Azad Maidan. This year, however, there is still information that Shinde's Shiv Sena has filed an application.
