Assam Flood Crisis: Over 5 Lakh Affected Across Five Districts Including Charaideo; Death Toll Reaches 68
Assam – Assam is witnessing widespread devastation due to floods. The death toll has risen to 68. More than 5.24 lakh citizens across five districts remain in the grip of the floods.
According to the Assam State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA), over 5,24,700 people have been affected in the districts of Charaideo, Golaghat, Jorhat, Nagaon, and Sivasagar. Two people drowned in Charaideo district in the last 24 hours, contributing to the increase in the total death toll.
