After New Zealand skipper Tom Latham had won the toss and opted to bowl first, Australia amassed a massive total of 388 runs thanks to the returning Travis Head, who scored 109 runs, and his opening partner David Warner (81 runs). There were also handy contributions from Glenn Maxwell (41), Josh Inglis (38) and skipper Pat Cummins (37) which helped Australians put up a formidable total at the HPCA Stadium in Dharamsala on Saturday.
New Zealand’s response was propped up by Rachin Ravindra, who scored a fighting century, and Daryl Mitchell (54 runs) before James Neesham battled in the dying overs to take New Zealand home.
