BJP fielded 5 candidates including Pankaja Munde, Parinay Phuke

Mumbai. The Central Election Committee of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Monday announced the names of candidates for Maharashtra Legislative Council elections. The names announced include Pankaja Munde, Yogesh Tilekar, Parinay Phuke, Amit Gorkhe and Sadabhau Khot.
The special thing is that BJP has once again expressed confidence in Pankaja Munde. Pankaja contested the Lok Sabha elections from Beed. However, she lost to Bajrang Sonavane of Nationalist Congress Party (Sharad Pawar) by a narrow margin of 6000 votes. Four of her supporters allegedly committed suicide after her defeat.
Voting will be held on July 12
Voting will be held on July 12 for 11 Legislative Council seats in the state. The results will also be declared on the same day. Maharashtra BJP had sent a list of 11 names to the central leadership, out of which the party has approved five names.
