BJP's involvement in irrigation scam? Ajit Pawar's shocking revelation

Pune: The political atmosphere in Maharashtra has been stirred up once again. Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar has made serious allegations against the BJP-Shiv Sena alliance government. According to him, the government before 1999 increased the cost of an irrigation project by Rs 110 crore and misused the funds for party purposes. Ajit Pawar made these allegations at a press conference in Pune.
Ajit Pawar said, "When the Maharashtra Krishna Valley Development Corporation came under my control, the cost of the Purandar irrigation scheme had reached Rs 330 crore. I cancelled that scheme. Officials told me that an increase of Rs 100 crore was made for the party fund and Rs 10 crore for the officials. All this came to light after I took charge. I can still show those files and evidence."
These allegations relate to the BJP-Shiv Sena government before 1999, in which the irrigation department was held by the BJP. Ajit Pawar's statement has fueled political discussions. This conflict has intensified as there is a direct competition between the NCP and BJP in the Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad municipal elections.
The BJP has rejected these allegations. BJP leader Chandrashekhar Bawankule said, "Why was Ajit Pawar silent since 1999? The file was with him at that time, so why is he speaking now? This is all because of the elections."
This incident has once again highlighted the issue of corruption in Maharashtra's irrigation department. Ajit Pawar said that if he reveals the evidence, it will cause a major uproar. Now, it remains to be seen what the BJP's reaction will be to these allegations.
