Balshastri Jambhekar Samman Yojana fund to increase within a week- Devendra Fadnavis

Mumbai, 12th The criteria for the 'Acharya Balshastri Jambhekar Patrakar Samman Yojana' will be relaxed. Also, the government's decision to provide an honorarium of Rs 20,000 per month will be implemented within a week, announced the state Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.
Maharashtra Shramik Patrakar Sangh President Pradeep Maitra and office bearers as well as Nagpur Shramik Patrakar Sangh President Brahma Tripathi and General Secretary Shirish Borkar are continuously reiterating this demand. After taking oath as the Chief Minister of the state, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis went to the press room of the Ministry as per the custom. On this occasion, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis was felicitated by Pramod Doifode, President of the Ministry and Legislative Correspondents' Association. He made this announcement at that time. While expressing his views at this program, the President of the Sangh, Pramod Doifode, urgently raised this issue. Former Chief Minister Eknath Shinde had announced the increase in the honorarium fund at the award distribution program of the Ministry and Legislative Correspondents' Association held on May 9, 2023 at the Sahyadri Guest House. In March 2024, before the implementation of the model code of conduct for the Lok Sabha elections, the state government issued a Government Resolution (GR) to increase the monthly amount of the honorarium fund scheme given to retired journalists in the state from Rs 11,000 to Rs 20,000. However, President Doifode pointed out that it has not been implemented yet. Doifode demanded that the Mahayuti government should honor senior journalists in the state just as it honored its beloved sisters and provide them with relief.
Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis announced on this occasion that action will be taken next week on the decision to relax the criteria of the Acharya Balshastri Jambhekar Journalist Honorarium Fund and the government decision issued to provide an honorarium of Rs 20,000 per month. This announcement by Chief Minister Fadnavis will benefit many senior journalists in the state. The honorarium fund will be increased from Rs 11,000 to Rs 20,000. General Secretary Pravin Puro, Treasurer Vinod Yadav, Executive Members Khanduraj Gaikwad, Bhagwan Parab, Alok Deshpande, Manoj Moghe and a large number of journalists were present on this occasion.
