Mumbai, Date 03: Lakhs of citizens from all over the country will come to Chaityabhoomi for the Jayanti celebrations of Bharat Ratna Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar, the architect of the Indian Constitution, on April 14, 2025. All the agencies should make strict plans to provide them with the necessary facilities. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis directed that the state government, police and Mumbai Municipal Corporation administration should organize this Jayanti celebration in a grand, divine and magnificent manner with proper coordination.
A review meeting was held at the Sahyadri Guest House under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis in connection with the preparations for the 134th Jayanti of Bharat Ratna Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar on April 14. Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, MLA Sanjay Bansode, Chief Secretary Sujata Saunik were present at this meeting.
Chief Minister Fadnavis said, Mumbai Municipal Corporation Dr. Should prepare a separate account head for the provisions made in connection with Babasaheb Ambedkar's birth anniversary program and other programs. Railways, Mumbai Municipal Corporation, Home Department and Social Justice Department as well as all the agencies should work in coordination so that the followers do not face any inconvenience at Chaityabhoomi. Each department should successfully fulfill the responsibility given to it. The police administration should take precautions to avoid crowding and to prevent any untoward incident. The concerned agencies should take vigilance regarding cleanliness.
Necessary facilities should be arranged in the backdrop of summer for the followers and citizens coming to pay their respects in the Chaityabhoomi area. Pavilions should be erected in it to protect them from the sun. Also, good quality facilities should be provided. Mainly, there should be an abundant arrangement of drinking water. Also, the traffic police should maintain proper traffic control in Dadar and related areas and put up notice boards at all places. The BEST administration should provide adequate bus services between Dadar station and Chaityabhoomi, so that citizens can travel easily, said Chief Minister Fadnavis on this occasion.
In this meeting, discussions were held on the police team's salute, flower showering by helicopter on Chaityabhoomi, grand residence pavilion on Shivaji Maharaj Maidan, emergency arrangements there, health facilities, exhibition pavilion, Chaityabhoomi stupa and decoration of the area, special issue of "Lokrajya", government advertisement publicity and instructions were given in this regard.
In the meeting, detailed information about the planning was given by the Mumbai Municipal Corporation through a presentation.
On this occasion, a poster of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar was released by the dignitaries.
