Big decision! The corporators once again won the right to relieve the city mayor.

Mumbai: A major decision has been taken in the state cabinet meeting. In this, recognition has been given to the Municipal Council, Nagar Panchayat and Municipal Mayors of industrial cities to remove them by majority vote. Accordingly, amendments will be made in the Maharashtra Municipal Council, Nagar Panchayat and Industrial Town Act, 1965. Or will the corporator who comes to the decision get the right to remove the mayor from office. Or half the rights would have been taken over by the government.
The city mayor is adamant in his misbehavior. Then he would have got stuck in the corruption case. He might have been accused of corruption. In such a situation, the right to relieve the Municipal President will rest with the Municipal Council members. The decision in this regard has been taken in the state cabinet meeting held today on Tuesday. Only for this to happen, the complaint or unanimity of both the third members is necessary.
If more than half or 50 per cent members approach the District Magistrate with their complaints, the government takes decisions at its level. He would be late sometimes. There would be no partisan politics in it. Therefore, a demand was made that the decision should be changed. Ultimately, the decision is changed, that is, the corporators have been given the right. Or will the decision help in keeping the Municipal Servant in charge.

In the process of removing the post of the former Municipal President, a proposal for the support of fifty percent of the elected members is sent to the District Magistrate. After that, government level action was taken to remove the President from the post. Instead, the elected members will be given the power to remove the Speaker from his post. Accordingly, a motion for approval of two-thirds of the elected members will be read. Jyawar District Magistrates will have to hold a special meeting for ten days and take a decision through voting. Approval was given to amend the Act in this regard and issue an ordinance for the same.
