Big reduction in cylinder prices, good news for the common man before the budget

The price of commercial cylinders has been reduced by Rs 7. The new rates have come into effect from today, Saturday, February 1. There has been no change in the price of 14 kg domestic LPG gas cylinders.
According to the new rates, from today, a 19 kg cylinder will be available in Mumbai for Rs 1749.5 after the reduction. Last month, this price was Rs 1756. In Delhi, a 19 kg cylinder will now be available for Rs 1797 after a reduction of Rs 7. Last month, its price per cylinder was Rs 1804.
Reduction for the second consecutive month
Last month too, commercial cylinder prices were reduced. The largest oil marketing company Indian Oil Corporation (IOCL) had reduced the price of a 19 kg cylinder by Rs 14.5 for the first time in 6 months in January 2025. It was reduced by up to Rs 16 in metro cities. In February, the price of commercial cylinders was reduced for the second consecutive month, and this time the reduction is from Rs 4 to Rs 7.
